Today I got a new battery for my laptop in Pune, India. I got it from a shop but I am not sure if it is an original battery. The serial no on it says:

CN-0T58J-71766-09G-D22D

201209 Battery Made in China

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The part number seems to be invalid. Please provide me the snapshot of the S/N sticker on the battery so that I can confirm it has genuine.

This is the photo. I think I wrote a wrong no last time. I got that from a sticker ABOVE the battery. This one is in front of battery. Please check if it is suitable for DELL inspiron N5010. Thank you.

Its Dell original battery but it is not compatible with both Inspiron N5010 or Inspiron N5110.

Both the batteries ‘JP-0N586M-42016-98D-6092-A00’ and ‘KR-0Y823G-71769-34I-C1M1’ are valid. They are compatible with Inspiron 1545.

Yes the battery is valid. It’s compatible with Inspiron N5010. 

I just bought a new battery for my Dell Vostro 3550, but the laptop says the battery is not genuine. The Dell part number does not seem to match the battery, so is it genuine. The battery does fit into the Vostro but says it won't charge as not genuine, but it does say Dell stamped on the battery. The sticker say:

CN-0V48RM-50046-0CS-007N-X12

Made in China

KC2012.01

DP/N 0V48RM

Yes the battery is genuine. But it’s not compatible with Dell Vostro 3550. 

Thanks for the reply, can you confirm for me then which battery is associated with DP/N 0V48RM as it was sold to me as a Genuine Dell N5010 Battery for M5010, N7010, Vostro 3450, 3550, 3750, 13R, 14R, 15R, 17R.
