The link doesn't help me. I will explain you what i did:
1. I installed the printer on my Windows Home Server over the WDS port. IP Adress example 192.168.1.35:65001
2. I shared the printer to the network (when i installed the printer software on the server the software works)
3 Now i installed the printer on the client over the network share on my homeserver. The printer connects as "Dell V720 series on homeserver".
4. Now i want to install some dell printer programms on the client and i chose the option "Install aditional software" from the setup (Scansoftware, OCR Reader, Dell Printer Home, TWAIN Driver etc). The Software installs correct, but i cannot use it.
5. A errormessage is comming by starting the software: "There are no compatible printer installed"
I need the Software on the client for scanning and some other tasks.
Make sure the printer is connected to the computer while transferring the software; also check the IP address in the printer IP setup page. The IP address of the printer on your client machine should match the IP address of the server before the software is used.

Hi Keks22,
Make sure the printer is connected to the computer while transferring the software; also check the IP address in the printer IP setup page. The IP address of the printer on your client machine should match the IP address of the server before the software is used.
