Hate to bump a thread with a "me too" post. I am using SCCM for my deployment and the PXE server is acknowledging that the ST2 is trying to boot and is pointing the device to our normal boot image. However, it hangs, the system briefly displays a message and then goes to the next device.
if you need to just wipe it from scratch here is a good procedure here. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/samsungpcgeneral/thread/e7ed293e-b565-44ee-a536-166dddf32205
i have another thread going on the MS forums here,,,
I also am having the same issue when setting up in bios to first boot using network IPv4, it displays "Start PXE over IPv4" and hangs. Have updated to the A03 bios and no change. Am also using a dock.
"I also am having the same issue when setting up in bios to first boot using network IPv4, it displays "Start PXE over IPv4" and hangs. Have updated to the A03 bios and no change. Am also using a dock."
I have exacttly the same issue. How do I get the Tablet to Boot from the SCCM Server with PXE. Do I have to press another Key?
Dell has told me that you cannot boot to pxe with the dock lan connection and advised using a usb nic attached to the front dock usb port. I tried this and it doesnt work either. Waiting to here back from Dell tech on what to try next. FYI i am able to image with MDT using a bootable thumb drive with my boot image to access my deployment share with the dock nic cable. For usb thumb drive boot to work you will need to disable secure boot in the bios and flash the bios to A03. Out of the box the three I have so far all had bios A00. Bootable Thumb drive with boot image also has to be formatted using FAT 32. The usb bootable thumb drive will need to be plugged into the front Dock usb port.
I used this guide for making my usb bootable thumb drive
I got the same email from Dell. Sorry for not reporting back. No PXE on the model and make a 2 partition drive. Which version of SCCM are you using and which driver did you add to the boot image (just the 7500 LAN)?
Not using sccm, just mdt2012 with our boot mages being served up by WDS when we pxe. And yes the only driver needed in the boot image was the 7500 nic driver.
So, it looks like to pxe boot these Latitude Win8 Tablets you need to be using a UEFI boot image along with WDS on a server that supports UEFI boot images which currently = Server 2012. I guess we will be imaging ours with usb drives for now :P
Here is the email i received from the Dell "engineers"
"You must use a 32-bit UEFI boot.wim file and a deployment server that supports UEFI boot image files such as Windows Server 2012. Because Latitude ST2 does not support legacy boot options, a 32-bit UEFI boot.wim file is the only method to boot into a WinPE environment."

We have been working with this model and have 1000+ of them on the way for a big project.
Confirmed with Dell Engineering that, at least as of now, PXE is not supported on this model. "Maybe" on the P04, BIOS but they sounded shaky.
Best of luck!

I think you need an update for LANDesk. Same Problem with SCCM 2012. After the newest SCCM Update (CU1) the pxe boot works. It was not a DELL issue.

I copied this file into my boot image. Was wondering why the docking station loses it network connectivity upon trying to start wds service.
