Inspiron 15R N5110 goes with a combo card (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) and the drivers are not provided separately. You will have to download the combo driver from the Dell site.
The drivers can be downloaded from the below link.
I did not find the driver on internet but got it from the vendor I bought it from. The key is, its not a Dell proprietary driver which was missing. It was a generic Intel Bluetooth driver which was required and installing the driver solved the problem.
So I guess, one has to install both the Dell proprietary drivers and generic Intel drivers (don't know whatever they're called, like generic or proprietary) for WiFi device and Bluetooth to get them running properly. I don't know how to upload or post them on internet or this community but I can mention the names. one has to install the R292538 and R292554 for Bluetooth and the R292479 for WiFi only. I could not find the R292538 on Dell support website, the reason might be internet connection problem or probably Dell does not post Intel drivers on its forum.
Hope this works for others who have this kind of problem.
Thanks for the reply and help. your answer was helpful and I appreciate it. Sorry I posted my answer before I could see the answer suggested by you, a slow internet connection with me probably. Thanks anyways for taking the time to post.
I am still suffering nearly the same problem :-(. The installation of combo driver and the Intel Bluetooth driver does run the Bluetooth application but my laptop is unable to connect any Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth headset or mouse or smartphone. troubleshooter reports a problem with"Bluetooth server" and the installation fails every time I attempt to fix the Bluetooth server. I have tried installing drivers with all the possible sequences but none works.
Can you send me the sequence of drivers installation for 15R, which has been tested to work because the sequences given on any forum never worked :-( Here is the sequence I followed.
The last driver was the one without which the Bluetooth device was never detected at all. I also tried a sequence where I placed R292538 before and after R314287 but none of them got my Bluetooth problem fixed. It has become a misery to be unable to use a Bluetooth mouse or headset with the machine. hope you are not annoyed with the repeated requests.
