The laptop crashed post driver updates a month later and I was provided replacement under warranty . 6 months into use - the battery life drastically deteriorated to 3 to 4 hours max despite on a Power save mode and couple more driver updates after speaking with the Pro support team .
That wasn't helpful and the Dell tech team advised a battery replacement and had the battery replacement done a month back .
Now a month in use , the performance of the replacement batteries are degrading . I contacted pro-support and was informed , that an expectation of 3 to 4 hours is the average and that should be a happy scenario .
Though the Dell team had been supportive all through , the hours invested to get this premium laptop to deliver seems disappointing . Will follow through ..
Note : I reached out to the sales team and was informed Dell XPS 14 is discontinued to "keep up with the technology " and XPS 15 is the best to go and 8-9 hours is normal battery life under "normal " use for XPS 15 .
