I am reiried ill health, so not too much money coming in, my youngest son wanted a Laptop over a Pc, for gamming he had some money given to him from his nan and with a little extra from me he wanted an Alien ware Lap Top purchased in 2010, its up to now this has never worked right, spent many hours on line with the Tech support they did help where they could with different problems with the graphics etc,not to mention 2 new fans required within a few moths of getting it, then then 2011 10/02/2011 New G/card and HD fitted, Then 18/02/2011 New motherboard in between all of this I was sending e--mails to senior managers complaining the Machine was not fit for purpose this fell on fee ears, many times I asked if this was them in my situation would you be happy with the product, guess what no reply to that one, 21/022011 now keyboard, 12/03/2012 sent back to dell for soft ware re-install, and also had a WIFI card replaced, I just found out on trying to to a factory reboot as I am still having problems, that when the software was installed the re set to factory default was not put on the laptop, i just spent an hour or so Sunday and today with a tech support agent, he was going to help me through installing windows via the windows disk, the machine will not boot form shut down to disk, Dell will not replace the software disk just in case its faulty,, and also got told it might be the DvD/rom drive is not working you will have to pay to replace it I seem to have got a lemon of a laptop, when asked for a replacement, i was met with NO, when it come to the end of my extended advanced service, I asked to show you have faith in your own product, would you offer a year or two extra cover free off charge, bearing in mind all the problems i have had and many tears with my son getting upset about his machine and indeed a few times i have been reduced to tears with worry over this was met with a NO, So thank you Dell for just sticking by the terms and conditions not going the extra mile to help, This Must be the worst product I have ever purchased , and do you know what, not even an e-mail with an apology with regards to all the problems not a sorry
Kingle,
Sorry about all these problems you have had over the last few years but as you said they were fixed.
Some parts just wear out, i.e. a keyboard. I go through a keyboard a year a least.
Question... who have you been dealing with on these issues, Dell or Alienware tech support? You should have been dealing directly with AW tech support I hope you were.
Also, if the DVD ROM is broke and YOU ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY why did tech support say you had to pay to have it replaced? Something isn't making sense to me. If you have a warranty that is covered under it.

If you have a warranty when does it expire?
