If you know you are going to copy/paste to Word, why not just open Word prior to the copy option? This is the procedure I've used since Word was first developed, Version 2.0.
Also, If you are not experiencing any other problems with the Word in Works Suite Add-In feature, why uninstall it? Consider yourself lucky. An uninstall of this feature will results in the loss of certain options. However, I will acknowledge this Add-In has caused many problems in all versions of the Works Suite application since its inception. And it appears Mr. Gate$ continues to either ignore the problems, or doesn't have a clue how to resolve them, as he has with the default Word template file, normal.dot.
In any event, should you choose to uninstall the Add-In, double-click
Add/Remove Programs in
Start/Settings/Control Panel. It will be defined as
Word in Works Suite Add-in in the list of programs. During the uninstall it may ask you to insert the appropriate CD disk.
I did find the uninstall in the Add/Remove and it did uninstall it. It wasn't a big deal - just a annoyance I can do without. It works fine now - thanks for the help!
