Can't find factory restore options in Dell DataSafe Local

Question

I have a Dell Studio 1749 laptop that shipped with Windows 7 Home Premium. I did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional and have recently installed Dell DataSafe Local from My Dell Downloads in hope to do a factory restore. I opened it up and clicked the Restore tab and selected the restore to factory state. It said it would restore the system to the factory image and then restarted. When the system restarted and loaded up the DataSafe menu after logging in, there doesn't seem to be any option to restore to factory state. From what I remember, there is an option to repair Windows, restore to previous state and a few others that I can't remember. I tried each option, but none would restore to the factory image. I also checked that the recovery drive is still there and was not deleted in Disk Management, but the partition is still there and active. I tried giving it a driver name too but no luck. Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something? Thanks in advance, Aaron

Once you do a manual install, the restore option is gone. You can still use it -- boot a Windows DVD and follow through the steps linked below:

Assuming you haven't deleted the restore partition, that will work.

This looks like it could work, the restore partition hasn't been deleted, however, it doesn't have a drive letter assigned to it and every time I assign it a letter in Disk Management, it forgets it when I restart the computer.

Is the factory.wim file visible?

Ok, I assigned a driver letter to my recovery partition and made it active and visible etc with diskpart. However, the instructions in the blog above don't seem to be working for me. I get to the cd tools command line and it says the system couldn't find the file?

All that I can see when I open the drive is a folder called Recovery and a XML Document called ADRInfos. When I open the recovery folder it just comes up with a warning from Dell telling me to not delete any files etc.
