Hi Sandeep,

Thank you for your reply. I tried to install the new drivers. The Bios and the first Chipset driver were already installed. The last one wasn’t, but I don’t get it installed. The installation process will stop halfway and I get a blue screen that the computer has run into a problem. It will give this error: system_threat_exception_not_handled nvlddmkm.sys.

How can I solve this?

Thank you!

Hi Isolde76,

I understand we are getting blue screen error on the system while installing the last driver.

Please let us know which video card is installed on the system as we would require the video drivers to be updated on the system.

Also, check the link below to run the diagnostics on the system:

http://dell.to/We70YO

Kindly run the same and let us know if you receive any error on the tests.

Thanks and Regards

An easy solution to this problem is to Rollback  Device Driver. IF  Rollback does not resolve the problem, then use System Restore to return your computer to the operating state that existed before you installed the new driver.

Also try to fix registry errors.

If issue is not resolved then i would suggest to take help of a system optimization tool like PCFresher.

Hello Sandeep,

I ran Diagnostics, but it found no error.

The drivers to which I think you're referring are:

- Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (version 9.17.10.2932)

- NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M (version 9.18.13.697)

After I ran Diagnostics I tried to install the third driver again, but same blue screen.

Thank you for your help.

Hi! I would just like to ask if reformatting is different from upgrading. I reformatted my xps 14z to win7 ultimate and after that I just can't detect the Nvidia Geforce 520m and the drivers can't be installed. Should i reformat my laptop to windows 8 or is there still a fix? Thanks in advance. God bless.
