Same problem. I am helping a friend with a second hand Laptop Inspiron 1150. I believe it has not been turned on for a long time. When I press the power button, the hard drive lights once, I hear the hard drive spin and the green power light stays on and I hear the fan. But NO display, flash, nothing. The keyboard NUM LOCK does not light on the base.

i have also charged it but it made no difference.
