I am having the same problem with my Dell inspiron m5010. I see that several other people are having the same exact problem and I'm a college student and really need my computer to work! Can someone help?

This should help if you all have not had help yet:
Dell is aware of these problems. I have the same problem with my laptop ad warranty expired last year There have been many complaints regarding this issue. The cause is due to CPU/GPU connections to motherboard. Mfg defect. You can call Dell @ 800-288-4410. Have your service tag or express code handy. It is located on bottom of laptop. They will send you a box to ship via fedex and repair it at no cost to you
This actually worked...thank you so much for responding, more than Dell have done. :emotion-2:
The "tech support" person in this thread has not bothered to reply since May of this year, and was no help anyway...he should be providing this info!!!
For others...Customer service will try to sell you a new battery, and other repairs, along with other stalling tactics...you need to be firm and persistent.
Still not convinced this will end like it should, but I know for a fact I will never buy another Dell product after this shambles no matter what happens from this point.
Glad this helped.... I was giving the run around from DELL tell I found this message board listing.....
I called and gave my tag # and a fed ex box was sent within 36 hours:)
What is silly DELL person really do not tell you about this recall...They want 129$ NON REFUNABLE just to look at it..... it is interesting that they would not be clued in on the PC as they enter the model etc......

I'm currently at work but will when I get home. Where exactly do I find the service tag or express service code?
