Instead of using the Windows disc you can use the RESET PC options in Windows 8 to restore system to factory settings.This should help you to fix the MijXfilt.sys error.
You should be having your MS Office CD if you had purchased one along with your Dell. What is the version of MS Office you have in your invoice / order.
It's used by a program called motionjoy (PS3 controller driver software.).If you have the hardware (Dualshock 3 PS3 controller installed) advise you to uninstall the drivers and reinstall the latest drivers.

before i make the big decision, should i choose "just remove file" or "completely clean my laptop" in order to fix the MijXfilt.sys error ?

Sorry for the delay in response was out office on weekly off.
For MS office did you find the reinstallation disc which comes with the product key number?
Completely clean my laptop option should help you to fix the MijXfilt.sys error.
