Hi Jason,

It can be frustrating when the system fails to boot. The hard drive could not be detected in the diagnostics; it could be loose or may need replacement. I suggest you to reseat the hard drive and check if it gets detected. Please punch in the Service Tag from the link given below and download the service manual from the “Manuals” section:

Please let me know about your findings.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

I've reseated the hard drive and still no luck. I'm literally stuck on the dell loading screen. Is there any sort of bios reset button I can push?

Hi, I've reverted back to the ACHI setting, but now I'm just greeted by the 'no bootable device' message. Thanks, Jason.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for reply and for providing an update on the status. I suggest you to change the SATA Operation in the BIOS to AHCI and try booting into Windows.

Please let me know about your findings.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for providing an update on the status. It seems that the hard drive has gone bad and may need to be replaced. Click on my User name on top, and click on Send Email, with your service tag, address and phone number. I will check the warranty status and let you know the options available.
