Please run diagnostics on the system to confirm hardware functionality. Here are the steps:
Restart the system and immediately start tapping the 'F12' key to enter the 'Boot Menu'.
Use the 'Down Arrow' key to highlight the 'Diagnostics' option. Press the 'Enter' key.
The diagnostics will begin. Please note the exact error message/code, if any appears on the screen.
Preform LCD Built in Self Test and check if you see the abnormalities there or not. Here are the steps:
Press and hold the D key on the keyboard while pressing the power button, then release both at the same time.
This will initiate A grey screen, then Red, then Blue, then Green then White, to allow you to inspect the entire LCD for color purity on each screen and to better identify defect.
Also, connect the system to an external monitor and check if error replicates on it as well or not, this will help us isolate the issue further. If possible, please share the picture of the system display for me to review it.
The laptop passed the diagnostics without any errors. I ran the built in LCD self test and the blemishes appeared here too - again more noticable on lighter backgrounds. I also connected the laptop to an external monitor and confirmed the marks were only on the laptop.
I have attached a screenshot, but it doesn't show the marks very well.
Thank you for sharing the information. We are not able to see any blemishes patches in the pictured shared by you. If possible please share a video or a picture where they can be clearly identified. I will need to get them reviewed and then can share the further course of action.
Please reply with the information. I'll be happy to assist.

I've tried to take some better quality pictures, making the blemishes with arrows.

I, too, am experiencing the same problem with my XPS14 Ultrabook. How do I get rid of this problem?
