Thanks. I think I may have other issues. I went to Network Connections and there is not a wireless connections icon. I imagine that I go through there to access the SSID. What am I missing?
The 1180 is a wireless card. The reason you did not get on the internet, is because your card is not configured correctly and you need to pay the piper.
The SSID for T-Mobile is "any" or "T-Mobile", both without the quotes.

When I go to the control panel and hit True Mobile Wireless Utility I get the following:
"There are currently no wirelss adapters available and enabled.
Please enable any wireless adapters before accessing this configuartion utilty"
