DELL SX2210: When I turn it off, my computer crashes.

Question

I'm not incredibly tech-savvy, so I'll try to answer questions as clearly as I can... Anyways, starting about a week ago, I first noticed that the built-in webcam would randomly stop working, and usually I'd have to turn my monitor off and on again to kinda 'reset' it and get it working again. It didn't always work, and in that case, I'd restart my computer. It never was a real problem until I turned off my monitor one day (which I often do when I leave the room, just because), and I came back to find my computer had crashed and restarted, telling me something had hone wrong and it had crashed. Now anytime I turn off the monitor, my computer shuts down and restarts itself, saying something went wrong. Nothing else seems to have changed, but nothing seems to be fixing this. I tried updating drivers and things like that, but it's still happening. What could have caused this, and can I fix it? Thanks in advance!

Makre sure the monitor power cord is not plugged into the same power brick or outlet as the computer. Retest turning the monitor off. Does the computer still power off?

Disconnect the monitor USB uplink cable from the computer USB port and retest turning the monitor off. Does the computer still power off?
