Hi Pranav,

Please share the Operating System installed. Also, update the BIOS of the system to latest version from the link http://dell.to/17YyDfl.

You may refer to the link http://dell.to/16Mhg0E for Dell Laptop having a heat issues troubleshooting steps. Kindly perform these steps and let us know, so we can advise you further.

i've updated bios a week back

I'am currently using windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Hi Pranav,

Thank you for sharing the information.

Please share if you have cleaned the air vents or not. Also, clean the heat sink and fan assembly which may be causing the overheating issues. Here is the link to the manual for your reference on dis-assembly of parts: http://bit.ly/TtdFxd

Please check CPU usage to identify if there is any particular application is using maximum of the processor's available processing power causing the system to overheat. Here are the steps to check CPU Usage:

  • Open Task Manager by right clicking taskbar and choosing it from context menu, or by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC.
  • Click Show processes from all users (lower left corner).






Please share the screenshot of your system's CPU performance, will take it further from there.

Sorry for the delayed replay.

Everything was working good, but recently the problem started again. I cant even play games for more than half an hour. 

Please Help !!

hello Pranav, did u solve the problem? cause i am experiencing the same problem. and i cant even play games with the laptop going lack.
