Hi LeolNleo,

Please run hardware diagnostics to confirm hardware functionality. Here are the steps:

  • Restart the system and immediately start tapping the 'F12' key to enter the 'Boot Menu'.
  • Use the 'Down Arrow' key to highlight the 'Diagnostics' option. Press the 'Enter' key.
  • The diagnostics will begin. Please note the exact error message/code, if any appears on the screen.

Also, uninstall all the USB root hub devices from Device Manager. Here are the steps:

  • Press the key combination Windows Logo key + R key to open Run dialog box.
  • Type in devmgmt.msc and click OK.
  • The Device Manager windows will appear.
  • Click on the sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers and expand it.
  • Right click on all the USB root hubs and uninstall them.

Once uninstalled please restart the system and install the latest drivers from the below shared link:

Intel Chipset Driver: http://dell.to/17P44db

Try connecting the DVD drive to the system and check if it is getting detected in Device Manager or not. Please reply with the results.
