XP printer driver for OfficeJet Pro 1175cse

Question

HP says that the printer driver should be in Windows XP Professional, but we can't find it in the version of XP Pro installed on my new Inspiron 5150. Can anyone tell me how to get the printer driver?  HP refers you to Windows XP and the hardware vendor that supplied it, in this case Dell.  My friend says that her shrink-wrapped version of XP Pro does have this driver, but she lives a long distance away. Dell support was not able to help me.

just connect the printer & xp will automatically install the correct driver when the printer is detected if it's built into xp

that's what I expected...but XP cannot find the printer driver...

HP's website says to contact the provider of XP.

We have contacted Dell several times and only get referred back to HP. the printer copies but does nothing through the computer.

the printer which I love, is an HP OfficeJetPro 1175 cse
