I don't know on this system, but most of the time the password is stored either in the BIOS chip or jumper. Check the topology of the board to find out for sure.
The boards cost about $60 - which is about a third of what a shop would charge just to remove the chip and solder in a new one (assuming you can find a shop that would do the job).
