Hi EAMJ,

I would suggest you to run the Dell Diagnostics to check the hardware functionality. Power off the computer -> restart the computer, press 'F12' key on the Dell logo -> Select ‘Diagnostics’ from the boot menu.

You may try to tilt the LCD screen at a particular angle, check if the display shows up fine. It is to check if there is any loose connection.

Please share the findings.

See above.  You have a bad video chip.

You've got a bad nVidia chip -- the mainboard will need to be replaced.  Since these chips are well known for failing, if you plan to repair the system, get the version with Intel video -- another nVidia board will simply fail again.  You'll need a new heatsink assembly to make the switch.

Hi EAMJ,

Please try the steps mentioned in previous post and share the findings.

As far the Blue Screen of Death is concerned, you may run the Online Diagnostics. Choose Symptom -> Blue Screen Analyzer. Based upon the results of this analysis, you may choose to run the trouble-shooter to fix these errors.
