Please let me know if you’re using the Dell OEM operating system disc or the retail copy? In case you’re using the Dell OEM disc you don’t need to activate the windows.
Please provide me the snap shot of the device manager so that I can provide the appropriate drivers. I would also suggest you to the install the drivers by using the link below.
http://dell.to/10j0xQQ
In this link punch in the system service tag or express service code and select the right OS. Install the quickset driver and rest of the drivers and check if the volume control key works? Then you may refer to the link below to install the drivers in the correct order
First we need to address whether you have installed 32 bit Windows 7 or 64 bit Windows 7 and where did you get the installation media from? Also was the system shipped with a Windows 7 license?
There is little point in fixing the installation if it is non-genuine but regarding the driver issues that you mentioned, likely Dell Quickset is not installed.
However you should install the system drivers in the correct install order (after a genuine clean installation):

Hi Senthil,
Thanks for replying. I'm actually using retail copy of windows 7 and now finally I saw the "windows activation" session below in computer's properties after an update. It shows that my windows has activated already. :)
Btw, here's a snap shot of my laptop's device manager. I have solved network controller earlier and now I know there's some drivers missing out and I want to know what is it. Should I follow and download the driver from the links you given earlier?
I am glad that the windows issue is been solved, you may refer to the link which I have provided in my previous post and install the drivers (Installation order)

Hi Senthil,
Alright, thanks. I have installed all the drivers but still the volume icon is missing when I press the volume button on the keyboard
Here's an example.
I am still looking solutions for this but it's ok, it does not affect much. :) Will see how then because my laptop is working fine now.
I am glad that the issue is solved; press the FN + Power which will initiate the hardware diagnostics. Let us know if there is any error code listed
Please perform the Microsoft fix it for system lagging issue using the link below.

Let me know about the progress.
Hi Senthil,
I could not do the FN + Power. My laptop shuts / sleep itself after I pressed FN with the power button. Do you mean hold it or just press it normally? By the way, I have done the Microsoft fix it software and here's the photos that I have screenshot.

Hi Natakuc4,
If not mistaken, I think my windows is 32 bit windows 7.
Thanks by the way, I have solved my windows issue. Now left with the driver problems. :)

Hi, natakuc4,
Yes, problem solved. Thank you very much!
By the way, do you know how to reduce the lag on my laptop?
I have no idea why is my laptop still lagging, I have just reformatted my laptop.

Hi SamDmarley,
Try running the hardware diagnostics by tapping the F12 key on a few times during startup until you see the ‘One Time Boot Menu’ appear.
At the one time boot menu, press the down arrow key to highlight ‘Diagnostics’, and then press Enter to begin the hardware diagnostics.
If the test fails, please make a note of any error codes listed. You can also refer to the link below.

For system lagging issue, please perform clean boot referring to the link below.

Let me know about the progress.
