As a customer myself, I would pass on anything given to me in an ''as is'' condition. That isn't to say that refurbished systems are junk. They are not. They come with a full Dell warranty.
They can range from a system that a customer had returned because he changed his mind, returned because there was a mistake in the configuration... it could be a refurb because of one of many reasons.
I have had several refurbs. from Dell and they didn't give me any more problems than the new system it replaced, which Dell promptly fixed.
I would suggest you get their extended warranty also.
