Unplug the adapter, remove the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec.  

Verify that the LED on the adapter or DC end of the adapter cord comes on before you plug in the notebook end.  If it doesn't, the adapter is bad.

Remove and reinstall both memory modules.  Plug the system in (no battery) and try powering up.  If it will, then install the battery and try again.  If it'll power up without but not with the battery, the battery is bad - replace it.  If it still won't power up, the mainboard is bad.

You may also run diagnostics. Restart the computer by holding the FN and Power button simultaneously. Let the diagnostics complete.
