yep this laptop is really overpriced... :emotion-39:
i am performing the test right now. still no freeze. the voltage is showing 12.55V, it is constant. it will take around 1hour. i will post back after the test completes.

and in the screenshots the voltage screenshot showed a straight green line.. i really don't know what these means... razr7, need your help badly bro!!!
do i have to sop the test manually??? i did it.. it ran over 1hr.. i didn't know what to do so i stopped it manually by pressing off. yhe voltage showed 12.55V max 12.56V. what do these mean?
:) thanx for the reply man... do post the results. did clean windows install fix the freezing prob??? did u fix ur dc jack?
please please please dont mind, i know i am asking so many questions, but i hope u can understand my condition... :( i love to play games, as well as i love my laptop but this problem is just killing me... hope u understand...
I don't mind bro. :emotion-1: don't say don't much please bro.. its fyn.. I can understand :emotion-1:
Well, went with the clean install of OS didn't do anything. Still the same freeze in game. I also ran the same test which I asked you to do, the tests gives positive results. No Problems whatsoever !! :emotion-18:
Also ran MEMTEST86+. No memory error. If you didn't ran this earlier, try it now. Its for RAM. if already done, don't do again ! wont help !
Well, the DC jack. I cant replace it now or within a month atleast as I have my clg exams too bro. N my Clg also sucks like this laptop ! :emotion-4:
n one more thing Bro, I'm also a gamer ! Used to play a lot of games earlier ! Some random day bought CS 1.6 and then it changed my gaming. Never played any other game for almost 2 3 months.
N then when I did, this system freeze. and I have 350 GB of game setups which I don't know what to do with. . now !!:emotion-6:
ha ha ha... bro its gr8 to know u r more like me... :P i also hve my clg xms, dts d reason i cnt get mine dc jack fixed. i never ran the memtest86+. i will run that too.... i am loosing my head over the semester as well as the hot games coming out every other day... :P
Hmm. . Well, what can I say after that Intel source. I bought mine in August 2011. I just don't know, nor any other tech that what is the problem. spent too much googling n found nothing to resolve it.
One thing you can do is underclock your GPU. Download NVIDIA INSPECTER and run it, click on show overclocking, press yes, move the shader clock to around 1100 MHz and then apply clocks and voltage. I did so n it let me play for half hour. You also try it. But after every system reboot, you have to do this manually.
i also wished i had extended my warranty when there was tym. but the thing is i bought my laptop around mid feb,2012. ur link says around feb,2011. i hope they wont be selling the old chip after a year gap maybe... i am really screwed with this laptop. a desktop would have been amazing with the laptop amount. the last thing i would like to try is changing the dc jack. but that also i cant get it changed by mid december. feeling frustrated. :emotion-12:
ok.. will try it, but maybe after the exams... but a permanent fix would have been better. :( hope that changing dc jack will solve the problem... i cant even understand that nothing happens if played without charger, but if charger plugged in then boom!!! problem starts with freeze and buzzz sound... frustrating... never gonna buy a dell product anymore...
:emotion-9:
but i will try that nvidia inspector anyways... thanx bro...
I should stop googling around. This is because every time I find something which I just don't want to see or admit to it.
Back in 2010, there was a litigation again NVIDIA on providing faulty GPU's to its customers. These included DELL, HP, SONY, FUJITSu n many more. The problem was that over time, the GPU die expands and the GPU dies.
I bought mine in 2011. I tried finding this GPU model under any such litigation made after 2011, but sadly none is there coz no other litigation is filed elsewhere. So AFAIK now, this GPU is also defective but the thing is no one has ever cared about it. Not dell, not NVidia.
So, you and I & several others spent 70k for a faulty INTEL CPU (INTEL CONFIRMED) and a faulty GPU (NOT CONFIRMED by NVidia till now). Such a Shame. :emotion-39:

Hey Bro. . I found ananswer to the error you reported earlier.
http://blogs.intel.com/technology/2011/01/chipset_design_flaw/
see this, you'll know why you got that error ( I/O error).
So, we can now blame Intel too.

After certain tests and findings, I'm quite sure we're in trouble bro.
That DC jack thing, I'll still do it later just to be sure.
I wished I had extended my warranty ! :emotion-7:
