Hi Gary,

Welcome to Dell community!

Please refer the following article to troubleshoot the issue with the battery: http://dell.to/18NHOOl

Regarding the Wireless, have you tried pressing Fn key and F2 key together to enable WiFi?

Yes. I tried the fcn / F2 trick and it only showed an antenna in the middle of the screen with no functionalty.

UPDATE: I restarted the computer and it asked if I wanted to start normally or if I wanted to start in Safe Mode

-- The computer was asking to let it fix and (repair) problems. I let it do this as well as using a new start point and the wireless was fixed. The battery is still a problem.

Hi Gary,

Did you refer the “Check Battery” section in the article that I mentioned in my previous post? It has instructions to check the battery health in Windows as well as in the system BIOS.

Also, let us run diagnostics on the battery. Refer the following link for Dell PC Diagnostics: http://dell.to/15Q5xPl

Select “Hardware”, and select “Battery”, and then click “Run Diagnostics”.

Please post the results.
