Not working man. Intel and their drivers are always pain. AMD drivers installs right but then I can't watch movies or play games (choppy graphics)

For now only AMD drivers directly from AMD's site (13.9) works perfect but Intel HD 4000 is not working.

Did you try directly from Intel?

There are no drivers for Windows 8.1 listed for either the Vostro 3450 and Inspiron N5050. I'm not sure if Dell plan to implement any.

You can try Quickset from the Inspiron5525/7520/5520 and Vostro 3560 but likely it will tell you unsupported system:

Hello i Have the same Laptop model DELL Inspirion 5520 and had some issues whit the windows 8.1 video drivers.

First i downloaded the AMD HD 7670 driver and there was a message to download intel driver.

Ok

Installed intel driver installed AMD drver, after the first <ADMIN NOTE: Substitute character removed as per TOU> down i hade black screen whit pointer bug!

I unistalled the Intel Driver and I let windows to put the default intel driver so all is ok now from intel Side (the driver from site is buggy)

I have a problem in Lineage2 game when i am using the game whit High performance card (AMD) aalso at low detail i have big graphical lag the game works only whit Low Performance card.

Can you check please the issue whit the AMD driver?

Thank you in advance

Do you support installing windows server 2012 on dell optiplex 780 machines? I tried installing, but it wouldn't recognize the network and other drivers.

Hy i tryed the 13.11 beta driver and all works fine now.

I have another question regarding to BIOS update.

I have BIOS A09 installed on my dell inspirion 5520.

I checked for the new BIOS by entering service-tag id and the interesting thing is that it dosent show any bios updates for me but when i click on show all there says that i have the latest bios update to A14.

The interesting thing is that i don't see my bios rev listed as previous.

So i never don BIOS update for DELL machine and my question is is safe to upgrade from A09 to A14?

I must install previous version to or The A14 contains all the previous updates?

Thank you in advance

It is safe to update the BIOS, make sure the battery has more than 10% charge and Charger is connected before you initiate the BIOS update.

BIOS Update - provides additional features to connect new hardware and fixes most of the issues. Do not close the laptop while a BIOS update is running, this might damage the laptop motherboard.
