I am sorry about the situation; try to switch on the wirless from windows mobility center, follow the steps below.
From the Windows 8 Start Screen start to type the word “control” and when you see “Control Panel” in the list of apps, click the Control Panel, Select the “Hardware and Sound” category and you should see a list of categories with “Windows Mobility Center” click on windows mobility center and then click on ‘turn on wireless’ refer to the picture below.
In case you are using the windows 7, press the ‘windows key + x key’ on the keyboard which will open the windows mobility center and click on ‘turn on wireless’.Check if the wireless works.
hi, I have the same problem, pressed the F2 key to no avail. I tried pressing the windows key + xkey but the wireless connectivity is not one of the options I am given. Please help me. I have windows8. Thanks
You Dell support are sooooooo smart Grrr Guys for get about installing this just download the file WiFi_Intel_W74_A04_Setup-TX6GX_ZPE.exe and all will work...
Anyway this is my last Dell forever after 15 years and more being a loyal customer

I have the same problem as the person here, but when I open mobility center the "Turn Wireless on" butten is greyd out, am using an iPad to post this.
