Try to Reset the touch screen calibration data and see if it helps. Here are the steps:
Choose the Settings option on the charms bar from desktop mode -> choose Control Panel -> choose Tablet PC Settings from large icon view -> select Reset. under Display tab.
To assist you better, I would need some information.
May I know the exact system model no. Do you have Windows 8 operating system on your computer? Since when you are facing this issue? Did you make any software or hardware changes on the computer? Did you perform Windows update?
It was working on Saturday and didn't work Monday morning when I got to work.
There may have been some Dell update thing I clicked on over the weekend. I remember that I had to reboot at one point. Windows has not asked me to update anything in the last week.
I have a dell xps 12 that is a touch screen but it is not working. when I went to reinstall the driver, it states that there is not touch input available. Also when I tried to restore to factory specs, it says I am missing some media files and it wouldn't let me.
I also had the problem of the driver eventually report that there was no touch input available. For mine, I believe this was because the touchscreen controller was put in a bad state after the Dell firmware update failed to install properly. After that, Windows didn't recognize it as a touchscreen device.
Unfortunately, Dell told me I need to replace the touchscreen myself since they couldn't find any problems when they ran the firmware update on one of their XPS-12 machines. I think there are at least 4 cases of this now, including yours, so hopefully Dell will eventually recognize this as a more widespread problem.
Please help, I just got my XPS 12 from ebay and the Touch screen is not working, I have also tried to locate the model number but can see were it is written as 9Q32 or 9Q33.

My Touch Screen worked OK a few days ago. Now it doesn't work at all.
When I go to the control panel and switch to the large icons I don't see anything called Tablet PC Settings. Why would this be?
Is there anything else I can check?

Hi Jane Apgar,
Thank you for the response. Try updating the touch driver from the following link http://dell.to/1erfh5P
If the issue persists, then try updating BIOS of the computer from this link http://dell.to/15EGtsT

I have a very similar problem with my XPS 12, but mine is a 9Q32:
Touchscreen either works for a minute or two, or not at all. Everything else seems to work fine.
Do you have a solution for the 9Q32?
