Hi PZUFIC,

Just ensure the power options are set as below.

In addition update the video driver using the link below.

http://dell.to/15WrAlH Intel driver

http://dell.to/1gZsOkF AMD driver

Update the driver in the exact same order and then change the power management by following the steps above.

If I press the power button I want to shut down computer independent of power source, not sleep.

I just bought this computer a few weeks ago, and I download and installed drivers form Dell download page, so it should be the latest version, or I download and install those that you suggested it anyway?

I also recognized that the USB 3.0 driver for this computer with Windows 7 64x from Dell download page causes blue screen which shuts down computer and you can't get in Windows anymore. With USB 3.0 driver (last version) from Intel works fine.

Thanks for your help for now.

Double check the setting for the "When I press the power button" section.  there may be two different selectors for when the computer is on battery VS plugged in.  The same is true for the "When I close the lid/Display" section.

Hi PZUFIC,

Please update the BIOS using the link below. Also update the drivers which I have provided in my pervious post.

http://dell.to/17ffmI4

Connect the Ac Adapter before updating the BIOS and do not use the system until it restarts after the update.

Also try running the hardware diagnostics to check if the hardware is working as designed; please refer to the link below.

You can also run the hardware diagnostics by pressing the Fn + power.Let us know if there is any error code listed.

I have flashed the bios to a newest verison, but there is no difference. The settings in the control panel are of course still the same but computer on batery when I press the power button still goes to hibernate. I have done a hardware test to and it passed normaly. The only thing that I am consider is that the battery health is 95%. Is that normaly for a month old computer with a little use on battery?

I think there is a problem with "connection" beetwen Windows and Dell power management settings. Actualy this is not a big problem and I can live with that.
