Thanks for providing us this information. All the graphic extensive applications needs to be setup on high performance so that they use ATI video card and not the Intel one.
Please select High performance and then launch the game and let us know the results of the same.
Also i set 3D settings on (Performance). Still same problem. Its just make me feel sad and regret choise change laptop, because previous one was so good.
I apologize for all the inconvenience this issue has caused and promise you that I will do my best to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.
This issue might be occurring because application you are running would be using the Intel card to execute instead of the ATI one.You can change these settings in ATI Catalyst Control Centre.
There are two modes in Catalyst Control Center: 'Power saving' and 'High Performance'. If 'Power saving' is selected for an application, then it uses Intel graphics card. If 'High Performance' is selected for an application, it automatically uses the AMD Radeon graphics card. You can configure it according to your preference. It is advisable that you choose 'High Performance' for application which uses more memory like games etc.
Here’s how you can configure it:
Click on ‘Start’
Click on ‘Programs’
Click on ‘Catalyst Control Center’
Click on ‘Power’
Select ‘Switchable Graphics’
Choose an application from the list or browse and select an application and assign the appropriate GPU such as High Performance, Power Saving
To assign any specific application, you can click on ‘Browse’ and look in the specific folder for .exe file
Click on 'High Performance' or 'Power Saving' under 'Recent Applications' to change association (In high performance mode, the system uses the AMD HD graphics processor for rendering the application. In power saving mode, the system uses the Intel HD graphics processor for rendering)
The below mentioned applications only work with Integrated (Intel) video card. It is an expected behavior of AMD graphics card :
wmplayer.exe
ehshell.exe
moviemaker.exe
PowerDVD*.exe
WinDVD.exe
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
The 1520 had either an nVidia 8400GS or 8600GT card - true, dedicated video. If you had the 8600GT, it was reasonably high-end for its time.
The new system has hybrid video - effectively an AMD coprocessor to the Intel integrated video. The AMD GPU is quite capable, but the switching graphics technology is in its teething stage. You might wan to check with Blizzard (or Blizzard forums) to see if they have recommended settings for the hybrid video in your system. My suspicion is that the game would be better served by a notebook with true discrete video - but these days, that means you have to look at the high end of the market. The middle market and lower is completely covered by hybrid video -- there just are very few, if any systems left, with high-performance true-discrete video.
