Hello,

Thank you for your reply

Unfortunaly I 've already done these these tests (and I've already upgrade the BIOS in the latest official version available).

I consider that my LCD (full HD wxga AUO) is dead but I'm surprised that the LCD BIST test displays the five different colors on this one if this is the case.

So I would like to know if the LCD BIST can display colors on a LCD death and if so how.

Thank you

Laurent

Hi Laurent,

As the LCD BIST is passed and you are getting the display on the external monitor, it seems the issue is with the connection between LCD and motherboard. I would suggest you to reseat the LCD cable. If that doesn’t work you may try to replace the LCD cable. For owner manual, you may refer to the link: http://bit.ly/XRI614.

Hope this helps. Feel free to reply for any further assistance.

Hi soncio,

Please share the system model and the operating system installed.

You may try to run the LCD diagnostics on the system to check if there is any issue with the LCD of the system. Follow the steps below to perform LCD diagnostics:

  • Turn off the system
  • Press and hold down ‘D’ key on the keyboard while system is off
  • Now press the power button while holding down the ‘D’ key

If you get the solid colors flashing on the screen, LCD is working fine.

Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist further.
