Any standard external USB keyboard will work (if you're asking if there's an internal keyboard replacement, the answer is no, there's not).

Ok thanks.  Is there a keyboard plug mount replacements available?  Or a possible USB keyboard model (3rd party or otherwise)  'drop-on' replacement - touch pad obviously not a requirement, just key input.

If the faulty part is just the latch, you can probably find someone selling an otherwise dead board for your system on Ebay for a few dollars and salvage the connector from it.  If the actual ribbon cable contacts on the board are damaged, the only solution is a replacement mainboard.

No, there's no internal keyboard option that can bypass the connector - either from Dell or anyone else.
