Thank you for your comment,

I did not mention that i formatted my laptop and also run the test myself before, even though I have run the test it says that everything is fine. So now it stills leaves me with the problem.

Hi damo101,

I would suggest you to run LCD BIST on the system, you may get an error in case there is an issue with the LCD, To run the LCD BIST (Built in Self-test) Press and hold the D key on the keyboard and then press the power button, then release both simultaneously . You may refer to article Here.

This will initiate a grey screen, then Red, then Blue, then Green then White, to allow you to inspect the entire LCD for color purity on each screen and to better identify defect such as cracks in the LCD or stuck pixels that may not be apparent in a normal viewing mode.

I would also suggest you to connect an external monitor with the system. If it is working find, the issue might be with the LCD of system.

You can also check system in Safe Mode with Networking, follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Restart the computer.
  • Tap <F8> during startup until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
  • Press <Down Arrow> until Safe Mode with Networking is highlighted, and then press <Enter>.

If it’s working fine in Safe Mode with Networking, try to uninstall the video drivers and restart your machine.

Also, run dell diagnostics on the system. To run dell diagnostics, Turn on the system, press <F12> at the initial Dell logo screen, and select Diagnostics from the boot menu.

Please reply with the findings. Will take it further from there.

Hi damo101,

Please try updating the video drivers from Here -> Enter the service tag of your system ->  Select the operating system -> Expand Video category -> Download/install the updated video drivers -> Follow onscreen prompts and restart the computer when prompted.

You may also try updating BIOS to latest version from Here and see if it helps.

Note: Before updating BIOS please ensure that:
*Battery is 10%> or >10% charged.
*Battery charger should be connected.
*No external devices (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) should be connected.
*All other programs should be closed and documents saved.

If the issue persists, please try connecting your system to an alternate monitor and observe if the issue replicates on external display as well.

I have tried all the above steps and I still continue to get this issue no matter what I do. I have formatted my laptop. Re installed and uninstalled the graphics card drivers and still no luck. I have also taken my laptop to technicians to analyse what the problem might be but still no luck so far. I really do wish someone could help me out...

Hi damo101,

I would suggest you to connect the system to an external display and see if the issue persists on it as well.

Please reply with the findings so that we may isolate the issue.
