Were you able to use these devices correctly before attempting Dual Boot on this machine? If yes, after clean installation of Windows you are required to install drivers in correct order for the devices to function properly. Please click here to find the correct order of driver’s installation. When installing chipset drivers don’t fail to install “Wistron USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver”. For exact steps on how to update the drivers watch this video.
Yes, I have been able to use these devices both before and after dual booting. I didn't do a clean install of Windows, I just added Ubuntu next to it, so I didn't install any drivers. I have attempted to update the chipset driver by the way, but that did not fix anything as it was up to date.

Hi Erin,
Check in the “Safe Mode with Networking” if you can have these devices work (except for sound card) try performing a clean boot and check. Click here to find steps on how to perform a clean boot.

Your hardware issues all of sudden occurred out of the blue or were you doing "something"?

The hardware issues have occurred over the course of a few weeks. My laptop mostly stays on a desk, but I do occasionally take it to and from classes.
