I appreciate your technical expertise. In case you are getting four beeps with only slot 1 when you try using both the memory modules then it is a slot failure. Clean dust from the slot using a can of compressed air. If that doesn’t work you may consider replacing the motherboard depending on the warranty status we can help you.

This is a 2yr old machine from Dell Outlet so I guess it only came with 1yr warranty. What are the costs for motherboard replacement outside of warranty in the UK?
i have the same issue for an out of warrenty laptop....its nice with i5 but it doesnt boot and has the 4 beeps...i took cover off and cleaned mem slot but still same issue. Can i send in for repair?
