black hawk down...or my screen is black and I can not get the lap top to turn on

Question

I have a dell inspiron 17r n7110 laptop..I wanted install a ssd samsung 120gb hd...I used the the laptop to migrate the data to the ssd. using their software and every thing was going great...when it was done the instructions said put it in the pc, and I did, I got to tell you getting to the hd was a pain in the donkey. I read the manual and went on line to you tube and watched a video on install and disassemble the lap top...after installing it would not  boot, no matter what I did to the bios. Then I took out the ssd and reinstalled the original and turned the LT back on and nothing the lights on/off and the other 3 light flashed and that was it...took it apart again and rechecked cable connections I took out the hdd and put an external plug on it on ran it on an other pc and and everything is there I even ran one of programs and it worked ...reinstalle hd back checked all cable connections turned on the machine and the same thing..I do not mind taking it apart but taking out the keyboard I used words that turned my ears red.. where is my problem, where do I start help kas

new up date along with the no video I have 8 beeps, which means there is a video problem..every thing was working fine till I was changing hd's...now how do I fix it. Kas

As I noted on the other forum, 8 beeps is an LCD problem according to the Dell beep code chart I have.  Check the connection for the LCD display.
