Had the double letters as well and just found bios A09 shows a keyboard fix in its description. Updated from a07 to a09 and in the last 30 minutes I did not have any keyboard issues - thumbs up :emotion-1:
My DVD drive in my M6800 was subtly buggy - very tough to diagnose, diagnostics didn't report anything wrong - but Dell replaced it and things are ok now.
- But I am puzzled by this. The Dell recovery DVD is 5.6G size. How? If it's a regular DVD, it should be 4.7G tops. I'd like to copy that DVD to a spare disk, but what can I use? BTW I had no trouble getting an iso-image of it, but I'm sure no media I have will work with a 5.6G iso-image. ??

If it's that large, then it is a dual-layer DVD. They can hold approximately 8.5 GB. They cost a bit more than single-layer.

Thank you so much for posting this! Had this problem for months and Dell '"'pro""-support couldn't fix it...
Works fine now :).
Grtz,
