CHKDSK cancelled on reboot: Windows 7

When chkdsk would not start from Tools these are some of the things I tried, have been using chkdsk on computers for 20 years, but I am stumped on this one. Start_CMD_Right Click_ Run as Administrator Throw in an X it will force the disk to unmount first before scanning. chkdsk /r /f /x Type Y and click enter. 1. Type chkdsk c:/f in the command prompt. 2. Run msconfig, and click on the Boot tab and click on Safe boot with the minimal button selected. 3. Restart the computer to hopefully have chkdsk run. When chkdsk still will not run at startup, I tried running a sfc /scannow command to see if it can fix chkdsk

Hello JWaand,

Try going into computer > right clicking on the disc you want > properties > Tools > under error checking click "check now".
