Benq W5000. It's not the projector's fault - been using it for years with various HTPC builds and videocards and operating systems.
Today, I woke the PC from sleep - I lol'd when the Dell work up, and the right side of the screen had mysterious horizontal bands on it. Power cycle and fixed! :P
There is a chance that my 15 foot DP1.2 cable from cablewholesale.com is at its limit - although once I get it working it works perfect until the monitor or PC goes to sleep again. Hell, it could still be this new nvidia driver.
The 4K2K monitors requires DP1.2 compliant video card that supports 4K2K 60Hz output and a Tiled Display (DisplayID v1.3 compliance) graphics driver. Users with older non-4K2K video cards may result in either blank screen, two similar images on left and right side of the screen, or display 1920x2160 resolution if they switch the monitor from DP1.1 to DP1.2. Find out from apple if the Retina MacBook Pro has the necessary qualifications.
I have same problem on my new mac pro (late 2013 model). 6-core and dual D500 GPU's with Dell UP2414Q. When I switch to DP 1.2 in windows, and select 1920x1080 resolution, I get 2 pictures on screen side by side squeezed together. As I read around, everything is DisplayID v1.3 compliant. In OS X, I have DP 1.2 and I can easily switch to any resolution and I will only have one picture on screen as intended, but problem is with windows 8.1. I updated drivers from AMD web page, but problem still persist and I don't know how to solve this, but to switch monitor back to DP 1.1. It's only pain in the to switch monitor DP settings everytime I change OS I work in. 1920x1080 is very good resolution to test things in windows (games) and I need it badly.
@Nummy84: That's another problem of these models that hasn't gotten enough attention so far. With older NVidia drivers, you could activate 1920x1020 @ 60Hz in DP 1.2 mode, but it would lead to a quarter of the screen (the center) being filled with the rest being black, and in newer drivers, they simply deactivated that resolution (and anything useful). I already posted this a long time ago (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19536444.aspx?pi23185=2), and it has recently been brought up again by another member (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19585739.aspx).
337.88 driver does not fix the wake up issue for me (A00 firmware) :emotion-6:
Not only that, there is a new flickering bug present, check the video I made:
This was not present on previous driver. Another weird thing: the cursor size is HUGE, at login prompt. I performed a clean Windows install, nothing changed... nice job Nvidia.
337.88 does not really solved all the issues on my system as well, with a up3214q running on a GTX670 4GB.
I am increasingly of the opinion 4K display is something that we shouldn't touch until the GTX8xx series when we would have HDMI 2 and DP 1.4 and with all the 4K support issues resolved.
Now this is almost like debugging a prototype in the lab.
UP2414Q UK customers should contact UK Order Support and request a used/refurbished exchange to get the A01 revision. A new exchange will only get you the A00 revision.
So, I'm an owner of a REV 00 UP2414Q and It exhibits the same issues detailed throughout this post.Waking the device from sleep is almost impossible. The power button flickers and nothing happens, my only solution is to do a hard reset by holding down the power button. My GPU is an AMD 6450 and I'm running 3840x2160@60hz. I get the occasional MST syncing issue, slight distortion on the right side, almost always the right side of the screen but I simply power the monitor on and off to solve this. The failure to wake from sleep is really annoying though and obviously a concern for my other hardware when the only solution is to do a hard reset. I tried DELLcares via Twitter but they were about as much use a in a spacesuit. How do I get this issue fixed quickly, phoning DELL directly?
Hi..I've similar problem...not with dell monitor but Panasonic UHD TV
Sorry in advance for my bad english.
I've this PC : Asus Z87-PLUS-C2 2 X GTX780 EVGA-03G-P4-2783-KR 24 Go DDR3 Gskill Intel 4770K Corsair AX860 - 80+ Platinum Displayport cable Startech DISPL2M
Windows 8.1 Pro X64 (full update) Lastest Nvidia drivers (june 2014)
I've plug my PC with Displayport on my TV Panasonic UHD TX65AX800E, but it's very difficult to have UHD resolution (3840*2160@60HZ) it's very unstable, it's the same issue with one GTX780 card (I've tested the two cards)
The Multi-Stream Transport(MST) not fonctioning properly
Boot my pC : Rarely in my screen -> ASUS logo in 3840*2160@60HZ -> windows boot logo 3840*2160@60HZ -> Windows 3840*2160@60HZ -> OK Shutdown my PC In myscreen -> ASUS logo in 1920*1080@50HZ -> windows boot logo 1920*1080@50HZ -> Windows Black screen -> BAD After, it's very difficult for having 3840*2160@60HZ :( I've shut my PC, unplug AC powercord, shutdown TV, and after multiple reboot I've 3840*2160@60HZ, but, in windows after few moment the screen split in two screen (stereo) and after the same problem for having 3840*2160@60HZ properly Other sign : In my screen -> ASUS logo in 3840*2160@60HZ -> windows boot logo 3840*2160@60HZ -> freeze -> BAD Or another : Boot my PC -> screen black from beginning to the end -> BAD
In HDMI no problem, all fonctioning perfectly but at 1920*1080@60HZ
I've changed Panasonic Displayport configuration (desactivate MST support), no problem, all fonctioning perfectly, but my resolution is 1920*1080
I've tested to remove Pin-20 of my Displayport cable (for problem of 3.3V) but no change, sames issue
Chris - I purchased mine from Amazon and Dell would not do this for me (case SR<ADMIN NOTE: Case number removed as per privacy policy>). My only option was to get a refund from Amazon. A pity, as I really liked the screen.

Yesterday I figured something out:
4K monitor is recognized as 2 monitors on my computer in GPU driver so with my second monitor I have virtually 3 desktops and 2 physical monitors.
4K monitor is 2x 1920x2160.
Eyefinity (from AMD) is forcing both virtual desktops on 4K monitor to act as one desktop (tiling).
If I disable eyefinity and disable one of those desktops, other one stretches over whole screen and I can then set to 1920x1080 resolution.

Okay Chris thanks, and these refurbished models will still come with the remains of my 3 year warranty?
