I just swapped over the panels, and retained the old stand and cables as such. The REV 00 is still to be collected from UPS. However I did check the base that accompanied the new monitor and no refurb labels on that or the rear of the REV 01 display. http://1drv.ms/U3BuiR
No problem, glad to help . Incidentally I wasn't expecting mine quite so soon, last I heard they were all out of stock with no eta of stock. So It's possible this new stock Is all REV 01. Good luck.

I just realized that you are in the UK? It might be that Dell USA doesn't have the A01 new monitors in their warehouses yet ...
I'm UK based yeah. @dell32_4kmonitor - You say It's clearly display at 1920x1080 despite reporting back 3840x2160, what gives you this impression?, has the scaling in windows been adjusted at all?
I bought mine from Amazon, it's a A00 revision and it has the same problems described (using a Mac Pro).
I have tried SEVERAL times to get through the people at the Call Center in India and they just don't get it. My monitor doesn't have a service tag and they just can't do anything with the serial number or DP/N.
The last woman I spoke to, before even acknowledging what was I talking about she stated that MONITORS DONT GET UPDATES and hung up on me.
Called Amazon and they said they'd give me the money back, but I paid about $150 less than what you guys sell it for on the website, even though it was sold by Dell but fulfilled by Amazon.
The questions are:
I bought it new, why will I get a refurb one in exchange?
Why can't I just upgrade my own monitor and solve the problem? it's not that I don't know how to do it and it would solve multiple headaches
Even if I took the refund and bought from Dell, will you guys ship a new A01 revision?
Thanks, this is driving me crazy, first time I buy a Dell product, not doing it again.
using a Mac Pro. * Unfortunately, Dell does not test/validate this monitor model on Apple hardware, ports, and software. Because of this, Dell does not have many troubleshooting steps to offer. You could post on the Apple Discussions Forum and see what they say.
I bought mine from Amazon. * Amazon is never going to have the latest firmware. That can only come from Dell.
I bought it new, why will I get a refurb one in exchange? * That is the ONLY way to get an A01 via the exchange process. If a new exchange is setup, it might be A00. Read the middle section here.
Why can't I just upgrade my own monitor and solve the problem? * Dell does not allow customers to flash the monitor firmware.
Even if I took the refund and bought from Dell, will you guys ship a new A01 revision? * I have seen reports that New purchased ones are A01. That is new, not from the Dell Outlet.
Hi, I called Dell and they said there was no A01 revision on their customer support line. Over an hour's worth of time has passed and they could not give me a straight answer. Is there some special way to get through that would allow me this update? Thanks, Andrew

Great thanks! I will try my luck with a swap now.

So I received my exchange ... and they sent me a new E2414H instead! Which I refused delivery on of course.
The odd thing is that the support desk that has been handling my case has been very responsive but when I spoke to them the other day he said "E2414H" and I had to correct him to UP2414Q - he said it was just a typo even though they had notes on this service request and had previously sent a UP2414Q replacement (which was still A00 and had same issue and also had a very poorly placed OSD menu button touch capacitor). When they called me back yesterday after the bungled dispatch he said he will follow up with the back office but suggested that maybe the UP2414Q may be end-of-line ... which I doubt but interesting.
I am going on vacation and so will wait until next month and get them to send another UP2414Q again. Hopefully by that time the new screens will definitely be A01.
Still dealing with the same issues here. I have filled in forms to AMD a long time ago, but they don't seem to do a thing. It's not even listed in the known issue's list :(
I tried to register the UP3214Q. It says it has already been registered, and gives me no further options. I am going to call DELL local support tomorrow, and if they haven't changed their mind, i'll contact a solicitor regarding future options. What sort of joke this is service? I got the monitor in January, and it never worked properly since day 1. I made the mistake of trusting Dell that it will be sorted out. I bought two 30" monitors from the competition, and i had no problems with them.

They will not know about revisions. The act of them sending you a used exchange should automatically get you the A01.

I was reading somewhere else in the Forums about somebody who did that and still got an A00.
I'm willing to exchange mine and see if I get it the A01. How do I do that?
Thanks!

The problem came back after I upgrade the nvidia driver to 340.43. I think there must be a regression in 340.43 driver.
I rolled back to 337.88 and the problem disappears.
