'Customer Service' Is a complete joke.

Question

On December 31st, 29th day into my 30 day return policy (Item received on 12/03/13) I contacted Dell.com via e-mail after trying the automated return system on the site which gave me this message 'Your return request cannot be processed automatically online at this time. Please contact Dell for further assistance with your return.' In the e-mail I stated that I wished to return my item which was still brand new in the box and un-opened. Two days later I had still not received any response from my initial e-mail so I proceeded to call Dell. After being transferred multiple times to finally get the correct number that I needed to contact because the company is so unbelievably fragmented, and sitting on hold for forty minutes, I was told that I was now one day outside of my return policy and that there was nothing that they would do for me and that the e-mail that I had sent went to a different department so 'Returns' has no access to it and sarcastically told me that I should've called in the first place and I wouldn't be in this situation. He (Markus, the supervisor, who is incredibly dismissive and rude) told me that to file a complaint I could contact customer care and he gave me the number there. Upon contacting the number that he gave me I was told by a young lady that I needed to file a complaint with the returns department (The department I had just gotten off the phone with, and the department that gave me this number to contact in the first place) and that there was nothing she could do for me as far a filing a complaint goes. Needless to say that at this point I'm incredibly frustrated and will NEVER purchase another single item from Dell for the rest of my life and I will no longer recommend them to my clients. At this point I just want to return my item, Get my refund, and be done with the situation and this terrible business (Who by the way has absolutely zero offices in the united states for customer service which the young lady informed me of on the phone).

If it's past 30 days then you can't return it for a refund. I will give you a couple links that you can try to see if they will change their mind and accommodate your request.
