Laptop screen flickering & horizontal lines in Inspiron 15r SE 7520

Question

I've a Dell inspiron 15r se laptop which is 1.1years old( model - 7520). It was working fine until last couple of days. Last week it started giving a horizontal white dot line on the very top of screen( like this ............. in white) for the entire width of the screen. From yesterday or so a similar line started appearing at the bottom too. Both of these line will come and go every 2 or 3 sec. And screen will jump a bit (like say 5 pixel or so roughly) and it will also shake sometimes which makes letters difficult to read. The problem exists everywhere, even in boot screen. In short when I press power button and screen start displaying something problem also starts. Today I connected an external lcd monitor via vga cable and it works fine. No line and no flickering. So I guess GPU is ok?? What could be the problem?? Could it be just loose contact or something in laptop screen cable? Another question: I had warranty including accidental damage protection and stuff for a year. But since I'm outside this period now, what should I do? And since I'm outside the warranty period anyway is it okay if I open my laptop and try something? Please help!!

I went to Dell showroom, they said it was screen problem so i changed screen their for Rs 4000 with 3 month warranty.

I went to the service center..they r saying the panel is faulty..it needs to be changed...the problem persists for some time and again goes off..its still the same.

I just got lucky. :P Kept the laptop running for about 15 hrs and its gone automatically.

I have dell Inspiron 7520 laptop..My laptop was working fine untill recently when i start my laptop i get white lines and beep tones couple of times and then screen goes white and then i had to restart couple of times but same result..sometimes though laptop starts with dell logo and then goes smoothly

I have windows 8.1 installed on laptop.

Can anyone please help me on this. This is becoming daily pain for me..

Hi Guys,

Can somebody please help me. My laptop is having issue when i start my laptop horizontal white lines appear and dotted line like this ................. appear when i start the laptop. I had to hard rebooted it couple of times and then it start normally i.e. dell logo appears and then starts properly.

My laptop is Dell Inspiron 7520........windows 8.1 with Amd Radeon grapics driver.

Same thing happening here, the dell support team said they would send someone to enter in contact with me so they can come fix it. They never did. Terrible service DELL!!
