I have Windows 7, I have had the laptop a couple years and this is the first time I have tried to use the camera. It was suppose to have been factory installed. I'm beginning to wonder though. I did not reinstall Windows 7. Haven't done anything that would cause losing the camera.

Hii NorthwestSue,
Let us know some details about your laptop.
1)Which OS are you using ?
2)Did you re-install your OS ?
3)From when are you facing this issue ?
This will let us get a more clearer picture of the situation.
Thanks
nikhil

Buddy, sorry for my late reply, I'm off the net for a while.
One last thing, is Skype or any other video service working well ?
If it is working well, then it must be the problem with your Dell Webcam Center.
If it is not working well, then I think you need to re-install your camera driver.
Once, also open ur device manager (by right clicking MyComputer, then properties, then device manager).
See if u find any yellow question marks. If you have any ,that means u need to install or update that driver.
If skype or other service is working fine ur cam, then it should be problem with Dell Webcam Centre only, it also means ur drivers for cam are fine.
Hoping you get away with this problem soon,
nikhil
