Therfore i request all the customers to please learn from my example and avoid getting into a situation that i am in right now. f.

I agree with what he said above...learn from his mistakes, DON'T BY FROM RESELLERS and this situation wouldn't exist.  This gentleman chose to by from a reseller instead of Dell directly for whatever reason, now he's got problems.

Learn from his mistake as he said....buy from Dell, not shady resellers that won't back the product they sell.

Thank you for sharing your experience and hopefully this won't happen to someone else.

btw, your issue is with the reseller not Dell.

i have purchased the laptop from an authorized dealer and if the dealer fails to provide the replacement .... then the DELL customer care team should handle this problem and in my case replacement of the laptop. But till now no solution have been provided to me instead of just forwarding my complaints .....and you will understand the problem when you will be in this this type of situation.

Please tell me whose name the service tag is in?

If it's not in your name use this form to transfer the service tag to your name.

Here's what you do... call tech support and tell them to use their Delta/DellServ tool to verify that you are the registered owner of the Service Tag number.

Once they see that, the problem lies with them to fix.

The reseller is out of the picture and the ball is in their court now to fix it for you.

Let me know what they say?

I purchased this laptop on 14th june 2014 and when i noticed that my touchscreen is not working the first thing i did was called the service center provided my service tag number to them they took 2 weeks to understand that it is a hardware problem .. after that they told that they can replace my laptop but it will take 25-30 days

The second option they provided me was that  they will give me 100% credit note that is  money back that will also take 12-15 days.

i live in NEW DELHI which the capital city of INDIA and for replacing the laptop they are asking me to wait for 1 month . By this you can see the service of DELL.

Sometimes I sit here after spending time to help out a customer that comes back with a reply such as yours and just shake my head.

Don't you think a simple, "THANK YOU FOR TRYING TO HELP ME OUT" would have been enough?  You know I don't work for Dell, they asked me to help out here.  Don't get me wrong, your response didn't move me one way or the other, rude responses don't upset me,  it just shows me what the character of the person I'm dealing with is made of.

On that note, you make sure and have a wonderful day or night, whatever the case maybe.

It's been a pleasure dealing with such a appreciative customer.  :emotion-11:

"I feel so privileged that the dell service center have given me these options" . i think there service is extremely poor because if they provide a customer  replacement piece after more than a month whose system is defective from day 1. what kind of service can other customers of DELL expect.

So i feel better now that i have gone with money back so that i can buy another laptop ( NOT DELL OBVIOUSLY ).
