I tested this first with the same card from my Asus Chromebook and it works fine. The card that comes with the dell is smaller in width but note that the slot is actually wider. The new Intel AC card fit perfectly. Careful taking off the old connectors as they are very small. I had to use a magnifier to reconnect them since my vision is not what is used to be.
I also put in a Sandisk 128 solid state for about $75. Makes all of the difference in the world. I also replaced the RAM from 4 gig to 8 gig which I had in another old laptop and fits the dell.
I guess I could have just bought a different 2-in-1 laptop but I really liked everything else about this Dell including battery life.
Which connector does the black and white go to? Mine is saying that it will not start and I'm not sure which connector goes to which plug. Thanks in advance, Mike.
