What AMD driver is loaded? Have you tested the AMD beta drivers? List in great detail how the monitor is connected to the video card using what cabling and what ports. What ports are available on the R9 290X?
What AMD driver is loaded? (I tried both of catalyst 13.12 and 14.3 beta) Have you tested the AMD beta drivers? (yes of course) List in great detail how the monitor is connected to the video card using what cabling and what ports. (ok. i tried these;
HDMI cable (of course that cable not support 3840*2160 60hz, its only support 30hz)
DP to miniDP (which came with monitor)
and DP (the new one i bought)
What ports are available on the R9 290X? (DVI Output : Yes x 2 (DVI-D)
HDMI Output : Yes x 1 Display Port : Yes x 1 (Regular DP) HDCP Support : Yes)
please help me.
i tried every thing. i tried with windows 7 64 bit edition. then i think its maybe cause of OS and i changed my OS windows 8.1 64 bit. but nothing change.
i bought new DP cable.
and at last i thougt maybe my GPU card is broken and i sent it to manufacturer and i bought new one. but nothing change also :emotion-6:
dear chris. i am a civil engineer and i must use that monitor with 3860*2160 60hz. i tried everything that i can but i cant. please help me. thank you very much. (and sorry my bad english)
OK, with both the computer and monitor on, turn the monitor off. Disconnect the AC power cord from the back of the monitor, press and hold the monitor power button in for 8 seconds. Reconnect the AC adapter to the rear of the monitor and power on. What do you see on the display?
@ylmz81, I got it to work most of the time, I'm also running a R 290X(in fact two) with Win 8.1 and the latest 14.3 bèta drivers. What you could do for the time being until a fix is out: -make sure your'e on dispayport @1.2 ie mst rendering; -when the screen boots/load as two independent 2160x1920 screens, go into catalyst control center and then to "eyefinitey" (this screen functions as two 2160x1920 screens in eyefinitey who must made a group to synchronise right. Most of the time this should work automaticly when installing the drivers, but sometimes there goes something wrong). -make a new eyefinitey group, (horizontal) and identify your (active/first)screen. I have a dutch language, so terms could vary. You could also try to onpower and repower the screen when the groups are loosing there settings. I also have the issue from time to time, but I'm alway's able to restore the right setting and when it finally display right it stays fine all the time until a next reboot/start. Also disable hybernate for the time being.
Thank you for everthing. At last i managed to work with 3840x2160 60hz on desktop
But now; there are two important issues.
1- whenever i restart pc all of settings is gone and i must do settings again. (Resolution, hz, eyetinity, etc all settings and often monitor goes sleeping, need to restart couple)
2- more important is; when the all setting is done , 3840x2160 60 hz ONLY in desktop. Not cad programs or games. When i start a game (such as world of warcratf) it work in little square windows 1280x1024 or smaller. This mean i cant managed right thing? Can i succes play warcraft 3840 2160 60hz?
1 The trick is to unpower or restart the pc or monitor until it display right until a fix is out, which wil come finally I believe. 2 Some games have no out of the box support for this res and you need to edit the ini file of the game to get 3840x2160 enabled.. I don't have WOW, but you can look for the ini file, often in my documents/my games but search the internet for the location of the configurtion ini and set the values yourself by opnening the ini file and set the values for height and width with notepad. You have autocad Map3D 2013? I also work as a civil engineer but on my work we have 1200P screens, so I don't know if Autocad automaticly set the res. right. You could look in options->display? Is hardware accelleration enabled?
