Try disabling bluetooth, and changing your data rate to 2mbs. I know it sounds goofy, but i was having the same disconnect problems, and this fixed it. No change in data transfer speed either. Strange, but true.
Exactly. control panel-system-device manager-network adaptors-broadcom-disable bluetooth there, and also try changing that data rate. i don't have bluetooth either, it just comes shipped with it enabled. if you do have bluetooth peripherals though...that might be a problem...
good luck.

I have the same problem with my TM2300 + TM1300 on i5150. I posted a thread few days ago and I got several reponses but nothings concretely solved my problem.
How to stop my TM1300 from detecting another network (and disconnecting from mine)?
I tried changing channels, disabling antenea diversity etc.
I am not willing to giveup WPA, DHCP or windows managing/configuring network.
And a humble request to John: Can you some how suppress the long addendum in every one of your reply? Maybe only once per thread? Pleeeease.
Try setting your specific settings in the 1300 driver's Advanced tab - SSID wanted, channel, wep enabled, key to use, key, etc.
The extra info is added automatically by the forum engine as it is my signature file and contains info that is asked for all the time. Apologies to the modem users.
You and me are in the same boat. I did what John said exactly several day ago. No use whenever a new network is availble I get disconnected.
Here is the funniest part.
This above "feature" is some sort of annoyance for me that is all. But my son plays lightning chess tournements over internet. and he loses the match every time this happens. Imagine what I have to go through when he unleashes his frustration on me.
about 2300, I believe the product is not functioning as it's advertised on the product page, no UPnP and seems to me NO WPA PSK too.
I can not use MSN voice, every time I have to unplug the 2300 router and directly connect to my DSL modem, 2300 is a problem product or has a problem firmware version!
About 2300: It some time does not recognise the host name. for eg. my desktop connected directly to the lan ports of 2300 is recognised only by mac address and the host name potion is empty. I can see this by running device status using the http://198.162.2.1. The result is my laptop cannot see my desktop as a workgroup computer by name. It can search if I give the IP of the desktop. If I powerdown my router and desktop and powerup then it becomes OK. Strange
One more thing. There is new FIRMWARE update dataed 8/8/2003 or 11/8/2003 I dont remeber which is a newer version that I have. I down loaded it and tried to upgrade my router, it wouldn't. It said "Error while upgrading"

If your neighbor is on the same channel, move to a different channel, like 11.

I did exactly what you said, I unchecked the auto connect to non prefered network option too.
It did not work, when the new wireless available, it disconnect the coneection and saying one or more wireless network available. I have to reconnect.
Any thing about the 2300 UPnP function?
Thanks!
