According to the data related to my service tag on Dell's "Original Configuration" page under the "Downloads" section, my i9100 is equipped with a Samsung 15.4" WSXGA+ widescreen.
Go to downloads, click on original configuration, type in your service tag, it will tell oyu.
Acutally I have heard from a source that they are now starting to ship new model Hitachi units that do not have this issue, and will no longer be accepting returns for simply the reason of getting an Hitachi display. Please do not ask the source, because I cannot tell you at this point
