Buy a Dell? Sorry can't help you, I have owned Lexmark before, have the x63 sitting in the spare room. It needs a file running to print, but when I have it running, my laptop won't go into hibernation when I close the lid. And Lexmark's email tech support was only emailing me once a week to help. I tried everything they wanted, but it never worked. So I purchased the Dell A960 and now everything works fine.
Thanks Odius! I can relate to what you're saying. I got tired of their slow replies too, so I called. I couldn't understand 2 words she said. So I gave up and bought an Dell A940. Should be here tomorrow.
I guess I just got a bad cartridge. All that would come out is blue and yellow. So I did what they said and let it set on a damp paper towel, then I cleaned the print nozzles...over and over I did this. Finally I saw some magenta. After a dozen cycles of clean and set on damp towel, I finally got the magenta to print a line as big as the blue, but then I had NO YELLOW!!! Now my print is purple! LOL!! This has been so frustrating! I'll just save this one for my daughter's computer. Thanks for your advice!
After reading these forums, I was scared to buy a Dell Printer, but I do realize that only a small percentage of Dell owners actually come here or even know of this forum. So far I have owned one for a couple weeks, faxed about 600 pages, and made dozens of prints. Only used the scanner once, but I haven't had any problems. Oh well, good luck on the Dell Printer.
